We loved attending opening night for both Great Crossing High School and Scott County High School for the inaugural Battle of the Birds at the new Birds Nest Stadium!

The complex features a synthetic turf football field that will serve as a home football and lacrosse field for the district’s two high schools. The grandstands feature a large section of chair back seats for season ticket holders, elevator access to the press box, and concession and restroom facilities. The press box includes VIP boxes, coach’s boxes and media boxes for both the home and visiting teams. The double-sided grandstand system allows the press box to be used for the adjacent soccer field and track. Visitor bleachers are located on the opposite side of the football/lacrosse field.

The athletic complex also features a two-story field house. The field house is truly a multi-sport flexible facility. An indoor practice field will be available and equipped to be utilized by the archery, softball, baseball, golf, wrestling and football programs. The second level houses the school’s football program with walk-out access to the football field.
