Somerset Community College Breaks Ground on New Technical Building
ClotfelterSamokar is excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of Somerset Community College’s new Technical Building at the Laurel Campus in London, KY. Community leaders, state officials, educators, workforce partners, and supporters gathered to mark the start of construction on the new $36 million facility, an important investment in technical education and workforce development throughout Southern Kentucky.

Designed by ClotfelterSamokar, the new Technical Building will bring several career and technical programs together under one roof while providing students with expanded training areas, modern learning environments, and access to advanced equipment. The facility will support programs including Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Construction Technology, HVAC, Welding, Automotive, Diesel, and Electrical/Electronic Technology. As Kentucky architects with decades of experience in educational and workforce-focused design, we are proud to partner with Somerset Community College and KCTCS on a facility that will create new opportunities for students while helping meet the evolving workforce needs of employers across the region.
